KISS A PIG FUNDRAISER CONCLUDES
The Wheatland Middle School had an AWESOME “Kiss the Pig” Assembly. The Wheatland High School Cheer and Dance teams performed first. Then, our student council President, Vice President, and Secretary were announced the “winners” of the Kiss the Pig fundraiser to donate money to The Ronald McDonald House. After applying generous amounts of red lipstick, they planted a wet one on Hilde, a 450 pound hog! Afterwards, students were given the opportunity to kiss their own “pig,” pugs Pete and Lolly came dressed as pigs. Eventually, students began paying for their teachers to kiss the pugs as well! Student council raised $40 in pug kisses alone and almost $250 total to send to The Ronald McDonald House! Special thanks to the Hendon and Meyer families for all their help!

Wheatland Middle School has been encouraging acts of kindness for National Kindness Week. Students were given a list of 50 random acts of kindness and challenged to see how many they could complete in 4 days. We’ve had a great response from our students and have witnessed the the kindness spread out into our community. We are proud to report that our students completed 428 acts of kindness this week, with a single student, Neveah, completing the most at 161! She received a basket full of goodies as a reward for her kindness. We also had 3 other students, Haylei, Jillian, and Eli, who completed all 50 acts. They received 5 free games of bowling each, donated by Smitty’s Lanes!
